Alexander Wang Pre-Fall '12
Thursday, February 2
Alexander Wang's Pre-Fall collection is one of the most functional and basic collections I have seen from a high end designer in a while. The tailored pieces makes this collection so desirable for a number of reasons. For me it is the versatility of each piece and how they can be used in ones wardrobe. Work wear, after work wear, casual wear . . . the designer gives us a little bit of everything with this collection and you can't go wrong with the muted palette of black, white and grey. ![]() |

I am loving this collaboration. I love anything from the cosmetics line NARS and these color combinations with the fingerless cashmere Marc Jacobs gloves are amazing. What do you think of the collaboration?

The Balmain Shift
Thursday, August 25
I have never appreciated the covert sexiness that is the Shift Dress until recently. Balmain understands how to do understated sexy. The designer's version of the Shift Dress is perfection.

I know this is an old editorial but I really do love the concept. It is always great to see the designers get in front of the lens from time to time.

Industry: CFDA + eBay 'You Can't Fake Fashion' Campaign
Wednesday, July 13
I am absolutely not a fan of knock off anything. No we all can't afford high priced couture but that doesn't mean you can't be stylish at the lower end pricing points. I love that designers are speaking up and fighting back against people who knockoff their designs and sell them at cheaper prices. I don't think it does anyone any favors to sell knockoff designs. It not only devalues the higher end label but it says something about what fashion is. Fashion doesn't always have to be a $2,000 bag or dress. Individuals should learn how to mix high end and low end and work vintage and thrifted pieces into their wardrobe instead of obsessing over a design they can't afford. I appreciate fashion as an art form and while I would love to own almost everything I come across I would never go out and buy the fake version of it out of sheer respect for the designer. Designers work way too hard on their collections to have their work devalued for the purposes of making a profit.

Designer Spotlight: Isabel Marant
Saturday, July 2
I have been hearing a lot about Isabel Marant's clothing via fashion blogs, fashion magazines and so forth. Her clothing appears to be a favorite amongst those looking for fashionable casual wear as she makes clothes that every girl wants to wear. I have to agree after I took a look at her Spring 2011 catalog she really does make clothing that translates easily into everyday wear. I will be keeping my eye out on her label as it is sure to be one to add to my wardrobe.
